HIGH POINT HERE WE COME......

I can't believe how quickly this week snuck up on me! Hester, Sue and I are heading off to HP on three separate red-eye flights on Thursday night - need to get to HP early on Friday for a little pre-shopping! YIPPEE!!!! This time we are staying at the most lovely Proximity Hotel and I can't wait! I have soooo much client stuff to search for...can't wait to see the brand new Hickory Chair showroom...... so stay tuned.......we will be sharing a whole lot of beautiful things!!!

At the edge of the downtown area in HP is this crazy 3 story high boy. Look at the building to the right of it for scale. Hilarious! It really is a furniture town!

SF road trip....

I had a super wet and cold day at Annie's Annuals so I could not really spend much time as I would have liked. Here are the plants I walked away with. I love poppies and I am going to plant Echium AGAIN.

Before and after upholstery

I love fixing up old pieces. These two had great shape, they just needed some fresh and fun new duds.... These are both at the shop now. The black and white chairs are a set of 4 and are covered with outdoor fabric.

In the garden....

My peony "mkolowitschii" peeking it's head up with 2 flowers this year. Last year it only had one.

A blue orchid?

A blue orchid? Really? DEAR GOD!!!! I just read about this new orchid color - the first blue orchid - by Silver Vase - called Blue Mystique. I have not seen this plant yet in person, but I see on some blogs, that it is already out on the market...primarily on the East Coast, which is where the grower is from. The color is truly unbelievable! I can't wait to get my hands on one!
